 Hi there.

Between 2004 and July 2006, I covered Congress and the courts for National Journal's Technology Daily in Washington, DC.

I wrote about the copyright wars that headed up to the Supreme Court, America's complex relationship with the idea of privacy and freedom in the wake of the September 11 terrorist attacks, and about what "competition" means in the Digital Age.

I briefly studied Internet law as a participant in the inaugural Internet Law class in the summer of 2001 at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard Law School.

Some of my other stories as a freelance writer have appeared in National Journal, The Village Voice, The Online Journalism Review, The Seattle Times, Good Housekeeping, Business 2.0, Bloomberg Wealth Manager, Intellectual Property Watch, Wired News and elsewhere.

I've provided commentary on Campaign 2008, copyright and other digital policy issues on Public Radio International, G4 TV, XM Radio, WNYC radio, and C-Span television.

I've also moderated several panel discussions in Washington DC, Hollywood and New York City on technology policy issues.

As a former staff reporter at Red Herring, I was part of the team that helped Red Herring.com win its Gold Award for "Best Online Consumer Web site" in Folio magazine's Editorial Excellence Awards program in 2000.

I also contributed one of the interviews to Gig, a book of interviews with Americans about their work. I interviewed Judith Halek about her work as a Doula. Susan Faludi in a Village Voice review singled out the interview as one of the more notable of the volume.
